Sasha C. Farmer, REALTOR® with Montague, Miller & Company REALTORS®, of their Downtown office, has just been selected for the 2010 Virginia Leadership Academy.

This program of the Virginia Association of REALTOR® selects just 20 REALTORS® from the Commonwealth each year, to participate in a year- long leadership institute designed to equip them with the expertise and leadership ability to effect change in their companies, communities and associations.

Farmer is a residential real estate consultant specializing in first time buyers, move up buyers & sellers, corporate relocations, and University of Virginia faculty, students, and staff. She holds several real estate designations; she is a GRI, ABR, SRS, e- Pro, and CRS Designee.

Farmer dedicates her time and service to several organizations and boards in town; Habitat For Humanity, the CASPCA, the Junior League of Charlottesville, UVAClubs of Charlottesville, the City of Charlottesville Housing Advisory Council, Computers4Kids, and the United Way- Thomas Jefferson Area.

Her involvement in the Chamber is also varied; she is a committee chair for the Quadruplicity women’s conference, a recent graduate of the 2009 Leadership Charlottesville Program, a Board Member on the Leadership Charlottesville Alumni Association, and is a member of the Business Women’s Roundtable.

In her local REALTOR® association, Farmer currently serves on the Technology Committee, the Strategic Planning Task Force, is a member of the CAAR Professional Honor Society, and has previously been awarded the CAAR Rookie of the Year.

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce established Leadership Charlottesville in 1982 as a chamber economic development initiative to serve member enterprises to help build a reservoir of informed, engaged dedicated civic leaders.
